I found two different business cards from the site today to inspire me. In the end I went with this one. I love when I get inspired by the whole inspiration. Thank you Audrie for always inspiring me.
I looked all over for a large sentiment stamp to use for this technique, but couldn't find one that I thought would work. I ended up using the Lawn Fawn Color my World sentiment and the crayons from Imaginisce which has four crayons in one stamp. I cut apart the Lawn Fawn sentiment, placed the COLOR and MY WORLD parts on the Misti, inked them and stamped. I repeated that for 5 pieces of cardstock. I placed the YOU part of the sentiment back where it was cut off, removed the COLOR (word) part and inked and stamped the same 5 pieces of cardstock. Next I placed the CRAYONS into the middle and stamped all 5 pieces of cardstock. I colored all the crayons with Copic markers. I used 4 circle dies from Spellbinders to cut out the images. I started with the largest. I used the negative of the first cut circle as a guide to help center the next largest die and diecut the second image. I repeated this process for each circle die. I also cut spacers to go in between each image to help it spin easier. I lined all but the top piece and cut a hole out of the center of the circles with my Crop-a-dile punch. I attached the circles to the top panel with a flat brad. I used fun foam to pop it all up over my card base. The top piece was popped up over the other layers to conceal the brad. I wish I used a larger brad because I didn't realize I had a little play in the punched holes when you spin the images. But the brad I used was a flat brad and it fit better under the top layer. I did cut a hole out of the foam on top to make room for the brad so it would all lay flat. I hope this makes sense... It is easy to line up the images once you spin the pieces but because there is a little play in the center hole you might have to fuss with it just a little. But overall I am happy with how it turned out.
Thanks for looking
