I am so sorry I've been neglecting my gallery here. I have to admit, I've been posting more to Instagram as of late (@GrungeArtTica), but I thought some of you might get a kick out of this particular technique. I have posted the stamps that I used in this design. As you can see, I have changed the male to female with just a few PITT pen brush strokes and a cute little flower doo-dad.
The moons were stamped and embossed onto mixed media paper that had been prepped with iridescent medium and then colored with gelatos.
The red balloons were colored with embossing markers and embossed.
As you can see, I only inked part of the little boy stamp up to his little fist, so I could slide in the skull balloons. The red balloons from the same stamped were inked on their own and then placed elsewhere.
The sentiment on these will read:
"...Little [insert name of recipient here] should have never exchanged his/her red balloons for skull balloons..."
These were time consuming and tedious, despite how well they turned out, and I only ended up being able to make 15 of them before my head exploded. Well, I'm not yet done. Only 4 moons have been done - I just now got done stamping/embossing more moons on mixed media paper. Tomorrow, I'll color them with gelatos, let dry, and cut out. Oy vey.
