Meet Professor Checkers, but not his real name---is one everyone at Teapotters University calls him as is always wearing a checkered vest and or jacket when teaching. Seems he thinks he is the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland as is always watching his watch saying I'm late I'm late, hence the bike, as he feels it gets him to where he is going faster than hopping. And he does not want to be late for our tickle a tea potter fest----good heavens, a Professor being late will never do he says as how can he ask being on time of his students if he is not. LOL
On to the card since he is making good time. Have black base layered with white cardstock, then another white piece that was run thru eb folder with inks dabbed on before and after running it thru. Then cut into 4 sections and glued down onto white ---added the image that was watercolored, sponged around edges, cut out along with darker blue and white and stacked onto each other after cutting bottom 2 layers in half length wise for dimension. Computer generated his name and popped all up on pop dots.

What a great image! Professor Checkers is perfect for a Beatrix Potter challenge. Cute dp for the bg and I love how you did the multi layered framing of the bunny.

WooHoo .....how great does your Prof Checkers look. Your story is fun DonnaJeanne and I love the colours and background you have created for the Prof. You are going to bring big smiles to a Teapotter.

What a cool sketch you used - it makes for a great vintage feel in those papers which suits Professor Checkers perfectly. I can't imagine how he is cycling and carrying his umbrella and whatever is in his other paw - he's obviously got better balance than I do!!
