Here is another card I made for today's colour challenge - given to us by Barbara - colours are - rose red, mint macaroon, tip top taupe and the desert option is to use ribbon.
I also wanted to try Sabrina's Technique challenge - Cathedral Window Patchwork - as I received a beautiful Cathedral Window Patchwork card from Sabrina last month
I really love how this turned out. I made a nine patch quilt - used five different papers for my squares. I matted the nine patch with a dark brown. Sewed on the 4 buttons. Created the base card - used a pink checkered paper, next the dark brown card stock and then a pretty DP that had all the colours (close to) of the colour challenge. I sewed around the papers. Stamped my sentiment on all four sides. Popped up the 9 patch panel. Finished the inside of the card.
I really love how this one turned out.
Hugs..Pat

Pat, this is so lovely!! I can see that you chose papers which really have a fabric look to them, like a Madras check, and I once had a beautiful scarf with that fine chevron weave. Those bright buttons finish it beautifully.
And I had to laugh at the sentiment; it took me too long to learn to check that my bobbin wouldn't run out mid-seam.

This is gorgeous Pat!!! I am so impressed with how anyone can create a quilt with paper. I am so not mathematical, so this further impresses me. The papers you combined coordinate so nicely. I also always love the gingham and think it adds such a warm touch. You should be happy with how this turned out. :>)
