This card started out with one little frame stamp that I had my heart set on using, however, I had no idea what I wanted to do with it. The key word here is "little". The first thing I did was to stamp the frame and enlarge it 50% using the printer. Then I searched for a bird to put in my frame and found this peacock. I fussy cut the bird, glued him over the frame and made a copy. One thing that I always do....if I alter, combine, or draw my own image, I make a copy before I color it so I can use it in the future and can color it differently. I colored the image with copics and added gold paint pen to the frame. I added perfect pearls and white gel pen everywhere. I used the brick ef twice to get a large enough bg piece. It did not look good to just leave it white, so I sponged on tea dye ink. It was still not right, so I added walnut and vintage photo. I used a baroque stencile to add modeling paste in the corners. To make it look 3d I used grey copics around the frame to make a shadow. Finally, I sponged inca rub gold and copper over the modeling paste. TFL, Francie

Oh my goodness Francie, my jaw just hit the floor twice...once when I saw this in the gallery, than a second time when I read your process. I have this frame stamp, never thought of enlarging it duh. Great idea about copying your artwork and the shadow is genius. Can you tell how much I love this!!

Straight into my favourites, so that I can come back and look at it properly on a big screen. That peacock is magnificent!! The brick background is fabulous.

Oh Wow - this is incredible. Love the way the beautifully coloured peacock feathers in his lovely tail flow out of the frame - he looks like he is perched on the side of it. Just spectacular.

Francie, first thanks so much for your detailed deets. This is stunning with all the extras you did to the image and background. Sometimes we need to enlarge a great image to fit the card. Great idea about saving your work. Your work is always so detailed and eye appealing. Fav'd

How amazing! I think your idea of saving an uncolored image you have put together is wonderful, and I will think about this from now on!! Your combined images for this card are so interesting and beautifully colored. This card is YOWZA!
