For yesterday's IC challenge; I was inspired by this Fontaine Fleur design - although I transferred my blue from flowers to birds.
Misted watercolour paper twice, stamped the solid poppies in two shades of red. Left it to dry (yesterday was primarily spent in sewing, so drying time was not a problem) and then stamped the centres. Masked the flowers and stamped the leaves, then coloured them. Distressed the edges, added Glossy Accents to some of the flowers, Stickles all round the edge and as gold highlights on some flowers. More drying time...
Added the sentiment and die-cut birds and popped it onto a Bazzill base. And then by the time the light was too bad to sew in comfort it was also too bad to take a photo, so here I am today.

I love how some of the image comes over the top of the card stock and the great sparkle just placed so and the shine in just a few of the poppies. So beautiful.
