This has been a sad week for my extended family, we lost a family member. I was able to focus my sorrow on making 12 of these cards that will be sent out to various extended family members. So glad that stamping is therapeutic for the soul! I'm praying that the handmade card will say what I don't have the words to say.
I started with using a piece of foam shelf liner and coloring on it with various colored markers, spritzed with water and stamped. This is the checked look that you see in the center of the card. Then I brayered the ink colors on that are listed above. With my finger, I spread the acrylic paint on. After drying time for all of this, I did the embossing in Gold and Silver. Finally added the Dazzling Details.
QUADS:
Acrylic Paint
Dazzling Details
Classic SU Inkpads
SU Markers
Embossing Powder

Oh - I'm so sorry! I'm glad you found therapy in creating these. They are very beautiful (love that quote), and using the scrap brayer paper inside is so neat.

Sorry for your loss! What a great idea to use card-making to help yourself and to send something to others that will touch their hearts. This is stunning! Love it - love that verse and how you captured it in your artwork. Hugz - extra ones too.
