One last card today for Karen's Color Challenge: "WILD PIROUETTES ON THE SAHARA"....
Don't you just love little notecards? I do! Little sweet offerings from heart and hand. Wouldn't it be nice to make up 4 little cards and tie them with a beautiful pink ribbon for a neighbor or friend?
This last card for today is a little closer to the color palette for this weeks Color Challenge of Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, and Sahara Sand than my first one called, Friendship.
I used a builder stamp set from Wplus9 and colored the middle stamp with Ranger's Distress Marker, Worn Lipstick, then spritzed it with water before stamping. The result is a very loose image of the peony. The leaves are stamped with Brushed Sage, and the area around the bouquet is a little wash using, Scattered Straw. When you're doing this type of watercolor, let it dry and then go back and add a little more color for depth or detail. I get so much satisfaction and relaxation from this type of coloring.
I've been thinking of you, and hope you like this card too.
Hugs to all my SCS friends!

Susie, this is without a doubt, your kindness and love on paper!! These soft colors lend themselves so well to these dainty flower images and the layering and gold leaf edging give it such a touch of class - great idea to give a piece of your heart to a neighbor or friend with a set of these!!

If you hadn't described your process for doing the peonies, I would have thought you used traditional watercolors and a brush, Susie. This is GORGEOUS....love its softness.
