This is my card for the IC488 challenge "Shafts of Light." Stacy asked us to choose an inspiration photo from an amazing Pinterest site. I found inspiration everywhere, but finally chose this beautiful photo.
I knew I couldn't do justice to the picture using traditional stamp and ink techniques, but I've been playing around in Photoshop a lot recently, and thought I would give it a go.
I opened a blank canvas in PS and used several different brush tools, each on it's own layer, to create my scene. I am continually amazed at how can manipulate each layer to achieve the effect you desire. When I finally decided I had what I was looking for, I added the sentiment and printed the scene onto photo paper.
I used stitched rectangle die to cut the image and the mat , and adhered the layers directly to the card base using Sookwang tape.
As always, thanks for looking!

Wow! You certainly created a gorgeous card with PS. I use Paint Shop Pro but I am so technically challenged that about all I can do is crop, edit for light/dark and add a watermark. LOL! I don't think I could ever understand PS. My husband has it. I love the trees and the sky with the touch of light in behind the trees.

Love, love this beautiful card.....amazing what you did with the software. I'm like Kitty...crop, enhance colors, and not much else. Thanks for sharing how you did it with the software.
