I unfortunately needed a sympathy for a co-worker who just lost his mom. I was thinking of flowers and started with lillies, and when I saw today's challenge to use a bulb flower that helped make my final decision. This is a pre-colored image from Lilly of the valley which make beautiful images. I DO LOVE lillies, I only wished they lasted longer. They smell so wonderful (some of them anyways ), and are so beautiful and delicate. My favorite are these stargazer ones like here with the polka dots on them. I was going to keep it all white, but decided to add some color. My mom..Heartsong here helped me pick out the green strip, as I was talking to her and couldnt find a pink or red to match the paper in my papers or ribbons, and TY mom I learned a lot from that to pick another color from the picture, worked so nice. I was going to add the sentiment under the basket in the white area, but thought it might take away from the picture, and wanted to keep it simple so didnt want to add a tag. Now thinking I might as it doesnt show well. Want the flowers to stand out more anyways.
Sorry rambling on...thanks for the visit...HUGS
OOOH after seeing this back, I see glue I will have to try and rubb off....oops...:0(

Lovely sympathy card with the stargazer lilies(and they do smell wonderfully IMO). Pretty framing and choice of DP and EF to make this meaningful card.
