I had quite the time making this oneÂ…..first of all I put the whole card together and forgot about the smoky slate color, so had to tear it all apart and add a layer of smoky slateÂ…..(some of the distressing on this card happened quite, "naturally".) I also sorta forgot about the whisper white when I decided midstream to start distressing and pretty soon almost every touch of white was now shabby and kinda dirtyÂ….but if you look reallllly closely you can see some white highlights in there and I honestly did start with white card stock on the tulips themselvesÂ…Â…take my word for it. I really enjoyed the finish product using the wisteria color which is not one I usually reach for, and so pretty with the smoky slate. Anyway, it was a journey this card, I took some detours along the way and ended up with something very different then what I had in my head when I started but such is the life of a stamperÂ….enjoy your journey, and Happy Tuesday!!

So pretty with a lovely vintage feel to it. I too forgot about the whisper white till the last minute too. Such beautiful colours - looks as if my "wisteria" is a little too dark when I look at all your lovely creations.
Gorgeous! This just jumped out at me. Love the image, in fact I have it ordered, and love the color! What you are saying about doing all the white, I have done that. Once I start sponging! LOL But what you did is just beautifully done. TFS

WOW, this is really gorgeous Karen!! The tulips are colored so nicely and show up well with the newsprint and white bg. I love the embossing. Your shabby chic card is marvelous!! :>)
