This is my card entry for the CAS313 Challenge - Think Spring.
Today I created a nice layered, clean and simple card, using Canson Watercolor paper as my base and secondary panel. The little image is stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The illustration on the card is called, Tub of Flowers. I colored this little with Prismacolored Pencils. I added a little BG0000 and BG000 around the edges to highlight (be careful not to get the tip of your Copic on the wax of the Prismacolor pencil though).
I decided I wanted my "tub" to have a more basket look, so I cut a piece of tiny polka dot scrap paper and paper pieced it. I gave the secondary panel a watercolor wash with some Ranger Distress Inks (Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, and Tumbled Glass) and mounted it on the card base using some fun foam. I really like using the foam because it gives the larger panels a nice even lift on the card base.
The smaller panel is popped up with some dimensionals. To give this card some pizzazz I added Wplus9's Hand Lettered Hello sentiment and Die to the card. I just love the new gold trend and the hand lettered styles we're seeing lately. Edging both the secondary and illustration panel with a Krylon Gold Leafing pen was a nice way to bring the card together.
I have an additional treat to go with this card (floral frame envelope), and you can see it on my blog Summerwalk Designs..
I'm ready for spring, how about you? I appreciate and value your time, so as always, thank you for your visit today.
Warm Sunny Hugs,

What beautiful work with your Prismas, Susie! The paper pieced basket looks so cheerful and love those spring colors. Sadly, here in Ohio it sure does look a long way off though. Love the gold leafing you added to your edges too!
