Kim is our hostess this week, and she has selected a lovely trio of colors for Challenge 519: Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, and Blackberry Bliss. The dessert option was to use your favorite embellishment; but for me, that's like choosing which child you love best! I love `em all!
I did use my newest toy, though, MFT Blueprints 12. This has been around for a while, but it's new to me, and I had a lot of fun with it. For this card, I used one of their suggested layouts, but I see lots and lots of possibilities with this array of dies.
This card is in its second incarnation: After I finished the card the first time, the Pool Party cardstock was plain, and needed "something." So I got out my Itty-Bitty Backgrounds set and oh! so carefully, stamped around the other elements in Pool Party ink, to give it a little bit of pattern. If I were to start over, I might use an embossing folder to give it some texture.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

This is an elegant card indeed Barbara!! I also like how nice and clean this is. I like your comment on the embellishments too. I guess we do like pretty much everything. :>)

I love the clean design! I have that stamp, but rarely use it. Time to dust it off!

Your card has a crisp and fresh look with your design and these colors, Barbara. The tiny "spatter" stampings add a pretty dimension. Don't know if it came that way or you added it, but I like the "scrollies" above and below your sentiment.
