Not sure if this qualifies for the positive/negative thing, but I am so far behind this week, it will have to do!
Die cut the butterfly thinlit out of my card base, then used glue dots to adhere my acetate to the inside of the card front, then attached only the body of the butterfly with glue dots when I inlaid it in the negative space (clear as mud, right?) and added some pearls to the body. Inside my card, is another DP piece that shows through the acetate for the wings!
The bottom of the card is just layered up with the DP and CS, then I cut the banner, added the ribbon and button with glue dots, and done!
Tongue in cheek here, I am also putting down the color challenge, BUT I only used 2 of the colors, so I am hiding from the challenge police till the week is over!
Thanks so much for looking - I really do appreciate it!! Have a wonderful day!

Oh, this is pretty, Sue! That's a gorgeous butterfly! You almost have the color challenge, as well!

BEAUTIFUL, Sue!!! An elegant card!!! I love that stunning butterfly, the delicate cuts as well as the metal portion, it shines! You've used one of my favorite sentiments sets too. And I love the glitter on your button. What I'd call a "classy card"--I love it.

This is gorgeous, Sue. Love the see-through quality of your die cut butterfly and your color choices are positively dreamy. The pearls and fancy button add even more elegance.

I LOVE how you did the butterfly...and it is a genius design. Love how the dp shows through your acetate to create the pattern for the wings... Your banner type sentiment holder and ribbon, button treatment ROCKS! This is an AWESOME card...
This is an awesome card. Love how you did the butterfly and the colors you chose. The banner at the bottom is just a perfect compliment with the pretty pearls.

this is such a pretty card-I like how you partially die cut the butterfly-we have no police force on the color challenge team-they were laid off ages ago (lol)!!!

The Color Challenge police are giving you a pass this week, since your card is so lovely! Besides, don't I see some Coastal Cabana peeking out at the top of the butterfly's wings? Yes, I'm sure of it!
