I am making my calendar/journal in mixed media this year. Our Mix-ability challenge this week is to pick a color! I picked, um, hello, GREEN for March!
I die cut all the days from a single Spellbinders die in a series of ombre greens. The days of the week and month are die cut (Mama Elephant and QuicKutz Khaki dies) from glitter paper. I also added some crocheted ribbon for a base for the vases of greenery. I handwrote the numbers for each panel with micron, copic multiliners and a sharpie, keeping with the ombre theme. The Jolee stickers are a combo of vellum, metal and paper, and I adhered them with gel medium.
I can't believe I just added an item to my July calendar, already. STOP! I want off!
I hope you get a chance to play. Mixed media is FUN!

This idea is so neat....at the end of the year it will be a keepsake. Love the tiny elements you have adorned the Month of March. This really is an inspiration. tfs
