This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 511 - Old Cake Whisperer, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 514 - The Ones Have It, and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 305 - Welcome the New Year. As odd as it may seem including a sympathy card in on a Celebration challenge it is with joy that one of our Choir members is saying goodbye to her 100 year old Aunt who was so dear to her heart. To have lived an entire Century is a celebration in itself but to be in the arms of our Heavenly Father is truly a celebration.
I stamped the image then trimed around it so that the sentiment would be visible then stamped the sentiments all in old olive ink. I tied some ribbon in as close as possible to crumb cake color and was finished. I hope she will love this sympathy card created just for her.

I love your interpretation of the challenge to keep one layer and shape the edge. Your green edging is perfection! Great job with the color challenge also, way to weave in the crumb cake with the touch of ribbon. Beautiful sympathy card. Wishing you inspiration and blessings and challenge combinations into all of next year. Blessings, lela
My gosh, this is lovely! The fancy edge is gorgeous and the sentiment is heartfelt. I agree, 100 years should be celebrated for sure. Hope this brings your choir friend some comfort!

What a lovely sympathy card! I love the artful way you have trimmed the front edge of your card. It looks great edged in colour too. That is a beautiful verse and I'm sure it will be appreciated by the recipient. TFS
