My daughter invited a friend for Christmas this year, since her friend does not have any family in the area. I wanted to give her a small gift, and would ordinarily give chocolates from the shop I work at. But I remembered that she does not like chocolate. So I decided to make her a set of cards. My DD says her friend has a fat yellow cat that she adores and another cat that is black. So cat cards seemed appropriate. This is one of the cards for that set. This image is slightly modified from the original Stamps by Judith image. I wanted a fatter cat, so I drew the body a bit rounder. I used up an old scrap card that already had the DSP mounted onto it. Unfortunately I had pulled something off of this card originally and it had damaged the paper along the top. I had stamped my image and cut it into a circle and when I was trying to figure out how to cover the damage on the card base, I had a brilliant stroke to use last week's sketch challenge. I cut the side of a Spellbinders label die and trimmed it to fit. It covered my boo boos nicely. I did have to rotate the sketch to make it work. I added some scrapes of DSP and a ribbon and layered punched heart and faux brads. To see the other cat cards in this set, check out my gallery!

Wonderfully designed, and so perfectly "cat"! She's going to love them!
