When my sister, BobbiesGirl, asked me for help making the spirelli tree by Susie Nelson made for TLLC505, I fell in love with it and ended up using it for my Christmas cards this year, and just in case you're curious, I've made about 80 of them. I love the way Birgit used some corrugated paper on this card, so I thought I'd use that idea with my spirelli trees. I have a bunch of this corrugated paper that was used as protective wrapping on a sofa we purchased a couple of years ago. I confiscated any that was usable amidst some eye rolling from my family. But I do love being able to use stuff that was free and would otherwise be thrown away.

Thanks for linking on the challenge thread so that I didn't miss out on seeing this. It's fabulous in kraft with the sparkle from the thread. The then corrugated strip grounds it perfectly. I just added that star for to my wish list for next year!!
Oh this is so pretty!!!! I think it is so fun that you and your sister are stampers!!!! This is gorgeous! I love everything about it! The torn textured paper, the spirelli and that golden star. Gorgeous card! Thanks for playing along with this week's CAS challenge!!!

LONG TIME NO SEE!!! Glad to see you back Melody! I love this card -- I wish I could remember how to do that threading like that; I did it like in the late 60s -- been awhile. I love the way you used the cardboard and star this is just priceless! Beautiful!

This is such a pretty technique and perfect for a Christmas tree. And I love that you repurposed the corrugated cardboard! I always get such a thrill when I'm able to repurpose something I stashed away.
