| | One of my grandsons is currently into sharks, so I made this pop-up card for his 5th birthday.
I used THIS template by Robert Sabuda with a few tweaks of my own:
1) I went with watercolor paper for the base because it's heavy duty and will hold up to being opened and closed.
2) Because I made the shark separately with DP and then popped it up on the card base, I made the necessary adjustments.
3) I turned the template to the inside so the fold/score lines wouldn't be visible on the outside.
4) I used googly eyes.
5) In order to prevent white cracks and tearing of the DP along fold lines, I reinforced with scotch tape.
The fin on the front is a clipart image that I colored and cut out.
There's room for further improvement with this one, but I think my grandson will be thrilled with it just as it is.
