I had so much fun making this card for Barbara's challenge to use embossing paste. I didn't have any so I used a recipe to make some. (1 part white acrylic paint, 1 part baby powder, 1/2 part white school glue) I used drops of reinker to tint some of my paste pink. Once I had this ready, I prepared my panel. I stamped my script in Suede on my vanilla piece. I had a home made stencil made using the Damask die on a piece of acetate and used an old credit card to smear my paste onto the piece. I let this dry (this was the hardest part for me!) then used my Weathered bg stamp to add some crackle to it (this was supposed to also be Suede, but apparently I had put my stamp away dirty with Rose Red still on it so it was pink instead). I distressed my edges and sponged on more Suede. I also sponged along the raised Damask. I added my felt lace and used a needle to thread the cord and twine through this. I took another piece of twine and cord and tied my bow. I stamped my sentiment in Versamark. Because of the raised areas, part of the script didn't stamp so I used my versamarker to fill in the missing spots. I embossed in gold. I added some pearl accents and to give my embossing more depth, I used my gold Gelly Roll pen to trace around it. I also used this on the edges of my card.

Wow this is beautiful! I was going to make some embossing paste but didn't have any glue so I used spackle instead. Stamping over your stenciled shape with a background stamp was a great idea! It is a great wedding card - wish I had it cause I need one next week and don't have it made yet! Yikes! Too many challenge cards instead.
