It's a bittersweet challenge today as we are having to say farewell to Bridget as one of our Featured Stamper Hostess team. :( So to honor her, we are caseing her fabulous gallery.
For my card, I chose THIS beautiful card of Bridget's. Bridget's cards are so perfect, I found the biggest challenge was to change anything! I wanted to keep it just as she made it. But change I must...so I kept the colors & layout, but used different images & dies, added a layer & had to make most of my own embellies because I didn't have the beautiful ones Bridget used.
I started with a die cut white panel, attached some drywall mesh and sponged on the tumbled glass ink in a random rather than solid manner, then added a little splatter w/ the same ink & a water brush. After die cutting the doily w/ peach, I cut it apart & reassembled it a little smaller to fit the area. The big butterfly was stamped on dp & die cut. I really loved the shiny little teal leaf embellies Bridget used, so I made mine out of aluminum foil glued to c/s, colored w/ Copics and die cut. For the flower, I used a Prima on top and punched a larger one to go underneath.
Thanks so much for looking! Bridget we will miss you on our team and may you be richly blessed in your future endeavors! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie this is a gorgeous card! I love the doily behind the butterfly and the little hearts you stamped on the wing.

What a nice CASE! You kept the fundamental design and colors, but made it your own. (Sometimes it works to our benefit when we don't have the exact embellishments.) And by the way, I've noticed this on your cards before - even your photographic props match the card. Such a great touch - it shows you really care about the details. Thanks!
