Happy Saturday! I got a chance to stamp this morning while Sydney took a nap. I probably should have worked on some cleaning, but I haven't been able to stamp all week and needed to get crafty!
I used this week's Color Challenge and Sketch Challenge to make this card. I still haven't placed my new Stampin' Up order, so I was happy to see that this week's colors were all ones I had! I'm waiting to get my check from a consignment sale to use for my new stampin' stuff! So far I've made $245... SCORE! I don't know that all of that will go towards crafting, but it's nice to have a little extra cash!
It seems early to think about Christmas, but since the dessert challenge for the Color Challenge was to make a Christmas card, I decided it was a good idea. After all, Christmas will be here before any of us can blink an eye! I always find myself scrambling at the last minute to send out my cards, and last year I didn't even send any out because I didn't have time to stamp with a newborn. So, here's to this year and the hopes that I at least get them sent out to my family!
I used "Serene Snowflakes" for this card, which is now retired (of course.. haha). I stamped my "background" snowflakes in Soft Sky, then I stamped my main one in Island Indigo on the main panel. I stamped the Cherry Cobbler and smaller Island Indigo snowflakes on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut them out by hand. I then popped them up on dimensionals. The sentiment is from a different retired set called "Delightful Decorations". The designer paper is also retired and called "Be of Good Cheer". I actually have an entire pack of this that has never been opened... not sure what I thought I would be making with that, but I have it, so maybe I'll figure out how to use it up!

Excellent go at both challenges! I love the layered colours of your snowflake! That is one beautiful stamp. The bow next to your sentiment circle makes it look like an ornament. Nice touch!

I have that paper too and now I have another idea of how to use some of it up. Your card is great. Love how you combined the colors for the layers of the snowflake!
