Patriotic colors add so much to the image, and the two RED strips for the towers really got me!

Hi Keri, Touching situation for you to share on your blog. It brought tears to my eyes. My husband was in the navy at the time waiting to retire on 9/30. We weren't sure if he would be called back in to serve, but thankfully he wasn't. Your sanded pencil technique came out beautifully! This is quite a nice tribute to a sad occasion for so many!

First, THANK YOU and your DH for your service.
This is a beautiful tribute to 9/11. I had tears as I read your blog. At that time my BIL was in the Army and made frequent trips to the Pentagon for work. It was frustrating not being able to contact him for a while. anyway... we will never forget. NEVER
I love your card. your sanded pencil is amazing. You included so much in this touching card.

Just wanted to say that I love you! I am so glad that you're in my life and I treasure your friendship. I also count you and your family as a part of my family. Your card is beautiful and I seriously wish I didn't live 45 minutes away from you or I would be on your doorstep with a big hug and some chocolate and we could spend some time together! Love you KerBear! You are the sister of my heart and a treasure in my life.

Wow! My father was career Air Force and my son is a firefighter so 9-11 and the impact to our nation and to individual families really touches me. Your story you shared brought tears to my eyes. Like you, my heart aches for those who lost loved ones that day. Thank you for sharing your story and your beautiful card with all of the symbolism.
