There's a Harvest Dance coming up in Small Meadows. Daisy-Mae and Dixie are scouting around the county for the perfect dress. Seems that Miss Scarlett has found this beautiful dress with a skirt of feathers, and there's no way that Daisy-Mae and Dixie are going to show up in last year's gowns.
This beautiful feather piece was purchased this way, so perfect for this Julie Nutting stamp. Just a little coloring and fussy cutting of the bodice and the gown is made. Add a pearl for her earring, and a couple of flowers to finish off the look and I'm done.
Eat your hearts out, Daisy-Mae and Dixie!

Oh wow - into my favourites. This is so funny, because I tried and tried to add a couple of guinea-fowl feathers onto my dress form for the bodice, but it just wasn't coming together for me. And here you had this wonderful feathered piece all ready to make the most wonderful skirt. And your card shape serves to accentuate how tall and slim she is.

This is such an adorable card, I love it. I loved paper dolls as a
kid, making clothes for my own doll design. Good work!

Love your doll and her fancy feather dress. It will be hard for any of the girls to compete with this dress at the Harvest dance. Way too cleaver. Well done and so much fun.

This is a stunning creation Jennifer. Wouldn't you like to make an entrance in a dress like that.
(My husband's fly-tying supplies are sitting six feet from me, and I'm sure every one of these feathers is in some drawer or another, but I never could have conceived of such a gorgeous idea.)
