I created this card about 5 weeks ago (before my last card, Aunt Joan's Birthday Card Number 1), made it at the last minute for a bridal shower for a dear friend's daughter, Jen, who is also a very treasured friend. I knew she would appreciate something handmade...
I love decorating the envelopes for cards when at all possible, to me it just finishes off the card. In this case, because it wasn't being mailed, I could add dimensional elements.
The key and keyhole are from the same stamp set/die set--I love it that you stamp one whole page at once, and then die-cut the whole page too. I think there's about 17 keys and other elements that you get all at once. Way to go Heartfelt Creations!!! These two elements were colored with the two inks using daubers, then the key had some glitter accents via a Sakura clear glitter pen and was covered with glossy accents. I still occasionally get the odd air bubble--any suggestions? The keyhole was covered with Rock Candy crackle paint. Then in the right of the envelope, I decided to add a small grouping of flowers, just because I could!!! You may just slightly see the middle of the flower with more pointed petals--there are MS clear microbeads in the center.
Thank you so much for checking out my cards. When you leave a comment, you really make my day!!! It is my goal to learn and improve as a card-maker, and I so appreciate all that I learn from all of your amazing cards--thank you so much!!!
