Hopefully in this close-up view of the front of the card, you can see the glitter, crackle, and clear epoxy textures. I have just started playing with the HC floral dies to mold and shape them, and I am totally hooked!!! I hope to learn to create some of the more intricate, detailed flowers, these are quite simple ones, but when put in a grouping with some leaves--especially when varying the textures, I like how it turned out--and I especially hope that my aunt will like it too. Her favorite color is burgundy, so I tried to bring out that color in the flowers--but the closest color in the 3D Stemple paints is a bright red. I tried to get them closer to a burgundy by combining paints and using colored DP.
The green flower below the "Birthday Wishes" tag was covered with crackle paint after it was painted, as were a few of the other flowers. Some had glitter applied before the crackle or glossy accents, others like the green flower below the tag simply had crackle paint applied. I tended to leave most of the flower centers as is, a few have some glitter in the center, and one tiny flower at the top of the RHS (seen in the full card view) has some green prills in the center.
One question, how do you mail cards that have more dimensional details on them like these flowers? This is the second such card I have mailed (the first was the card I uploaded previously, Sally's Birthday Card 2014, I mailed an almost identical card to my mother for Mother's Day), and fortunately with both, I was sending other items, so the cards went into a box or a padded envelope. But if I was just sending a card, I am not sure what I would choose--just wondering what you use from the clear boxes to envelopes that you can custom create what you use...
Thank you so much for taking a look at my card. I am so excited to receive your comments--they quite honestly make my day, and it is my goal to learn from them and to improve as a card-maker.

Great closeup.... I did not see some of your wonderful details with the smaller picture. You will give your aunt many hours of viewing pleasure, as she will see something new every time she looks at this gorgeous card!

Gorgeous card! I love the weight and depth your flowers have. The rich colours are so perfect here too. Wonderful card and thanks for the comment on my basket of hydrangeas card. You went way back for that one! :-)
Oh my gosh, this is just breathtakingly gorgeous! Love, love, love everything - how the flowers are shaped, the wet/dewy look, the colors...I'm sure your aunt will love this to pieces! As for mailing, I read somewhere that you can use a DVD mailer. Like you, the dimensional cards I have sent were with other presents, so they were in a box. I'm looking for DVD mailers online - couldn't find them in our local stores - will PM you if I find a good source!

Joanne, this is amazing! I could look at it all day....the rich colors, sparkle, and everything is done so well. I would mail this card in a padded envelope. Thanks for sharing.
