My problem was I had no gold paper around the house (strange because I normally have the gold sheets). So I pulled a piece of scrap paper out of my scrap bin that I had used to cut out an oval, and I put VersaMark all around the edges and used gold embossing powder to make the background gold shown through the larger die cut. Then I liked that so much, that I gold embossed two smaller die cut pieces that I used as ornate decoration around the focal piece....Finally I got the crazy idea to gold emboss a pearl (and it worked!!) to balance out the top of the focal piece with the gold ribbon.
I love how the inspiration challenge really stretches our imagination and brings out the creative energy inside us!
Hugs,
Audrie

Wow - you did get creative - embossing a pearl - that would be hard to do as they are so small. Brilliant idea though. Your card is really beautiful with so many gorgeous layers and regal colors and that absolutely perfect bow! An inspiring card for sure and into my faves! Love it! Hugz!

This is drop-dead gorgeous, Audrie! Love how you "made do" with what you had and came up with an even better result - this is just fantastic with all the gold and ivory accents!
