When I read about little Finley on the MMTPT309 challenge page I could hardley wait to make her a card to brighten her day. And then I saw the details...lots of PINK! I started to shake and sweat. This reaction is usually caused (in other people) by snakes, spiders, and that scary monster lurking under the bed. It all started in 1964 when my parents had THE HOUSE, the one to raise their 5 children in and stay in forever, built. I was the youngest and my sister was a year older. Mr. Birch (funny that I remember his name and not the name of my beloved kindergarden teacher) was our interior decorator. His years of training and perfect taste flew out the window when faced with designing a room for 2 little girls to share. All he could think of was pink...pink gingham bedspreads, pink shag carpet, pink candy cane stripped drapes, and 2 pink alabaster lamps with pink lace shades. This was fine for my sister who sort of liked pink, but I was more of a Carmen Miranda kind of kid- you know...the lady with the bright, bold pieces of fruit balanced on her head. So, I have been traumatized ever since. But, I had fun making this card, and I am getting a little more comfortable with pink. TFL, Francie

Oh Honey I am so sorry if I caused you any trauma or flashbacks, but you really rose to the occasion! You didn't use just any pink, but that big, bold Carmen Miranda pink (and purple and green!). Very cool choice of die cut - your image fits in it like a hand in glove. Wow! Finley will absolutely love this. Thank you so much for coming to her Teaparty. Make sure to take some of those frog cookies - they are a lovely shade of not pink ;) Hugz from NJ.

So much sweetness in a card! Layer upon beautiful layer of feminine sweetness for Finley!
I too had a room decorated in hot pink, even the bathroom was done in the same hot pink, so I know what you mean...! My Grandmother even crocheted pink doilies for me, never to be used again!
