The challenge theme today is Summer. I remember spending many a summer day in a treehouse my best friend Emily & I built when we were around 8 or 9. Ours had 2 stories & it was awesome! Emily had a twin sister who was besties with my sis. They were no where near as tomboy as we were. So we tried to charge them a nickel to come up in our fabulous treehouse. They decided theyÂ’d build their own in a nearby tree. Oh manÂ…Emily and I almost fell out of our treehouse laughing. They tried to build it from the top down and didnÂ’t get very far. A couple of boards, then theyÂ’d want to paint.
So my treehouse was stamped, colored & die cut. I started by stamping the fence, masking as I went, then masked the whole fence and stamped the treehouse behind it. The red, lt blue & navy layers were all leftovers & they fit just about exactly so I used them. The greeting was stamped on the lt blue & to fill in down the left side, I embossed a border.
Thanks so much for looking! It's just been posted on my blog: The Write Stuff While you're there, please check out the link to DRS Thurs Challenge...to show us a new purchase. DRS images are not required.

Never lived where we had a tree in our yard big enough for a tree house. Always thought it would be fun. We did have childhood friends who had one that made if fun to go to their house for a visit. Love your card that brings fond memories.

I always wanted to have a tree house...but I can't be too upset..my dad built a playhouse (we called it the dollhouse) for my sister and I that looked like our big house. This card is so much fun..brings back some great summer memories..I was kind of a tomboy, too! ;)
