I made this for 3 challenges this week. I'm just glad I finally got to play along. It's been busy here. I did Wednesday's sketch challenge, which I think was so much fun with so many possibilities. Thursday's challenge was to incorporate sand, so I made a beach scene and colored sand with alcohol markers. Friday's challenge was to use a cloud, so I used the blender pen in my alcohol markers to lift the color in the sky and make clouds. I also added a little with a white paint pen to the clouds and as foam for the ocean. I paper pieced the umbrella and used the same dp for the small strip in the center. I really enjoyed making this card and seeing all the other lovely creations in the gallery. When I think summer, I think beach, so I love making cards like this. Thanks so much for taking time to sneak a peak.

I love the way you continued the scene into the rectangle piece! I had thought about doing that but wasn't sure how to. So cute and makes me wish I was sitting in that chair on the beach somewhere.....

Wonderful beach scene! I love the way you carried your horizontal DP into the beach umbrella! You've depicted a perfect way to spend a summer day! Love it!
