I made a second card for the FS challenge. This one was inspired by Maura's Summer Garden Birthday. I kept her basic layout, but used patterned paper to stamp a birthday sentiment on and I colored a Doodle Garden image, called Keep Smiling, fussy cut her, and popped her up to replace the flowers Maura used. I had a die cut sun on my desk, so I glued a button in the center. It could be a sun or a flower. I liked the pop of orange and how it tied in with the orange in the "smile" banner. As someone who has a hard time with lots of white space, I used my dotted swiss EF on the card base - which makes "white space" easier for me!

Cathy, this is sooooo cute! I love that border die - I think they add so much to a card. And of course the coloring is fabulous, and I love how the sun that just happened to be left on your desk became a great detail that you tied into the banner! See, it pays to never clean up your work area.....
