This is an easy card. I made it for my SIL's b'day in January. She generally only wears black or tan colours with maybe a touch of red for glamour if it's a formal occasion.
I started by stamping the butterfly onto a scrap piece of Velvet Red CS, with Versamark ink and covering it with. Black Embossing powder. I then heat set it, let it cool & carefully cut it out. Next I lightly ruled a pencil line 1cm from the top of a piece of 14.4cm x 10.1cm SU Crumb Cake CS. I inked up the flourish stamp, and using the stamp positioner, stamped along the ruled line, just letting each flourish just touch. I then erased the pencil line and in its place I scored a line (from the back, so it looks raised on the front), I also scored a line at the bottom of the flourishes. I stamped the b'day greeting in Versafine Onyx Black ink in the bottom right corner.
To assemble the card, I folded a piece of A5 (21cm x 14.8cm) in half and stuck the kraft piece to it with double sided tape, leaving a 2mm border. I attached the butterfly with a folded strip of double sided tape, along it's body only (so the wings could bend up).
