My makeshift mat for my new KNK Zing Air - it is a flexible plastic cutting board I picked up years ago, and never used much because it was hard to put in the dishwasher. I marked the reverse side with a Sharpie at 1" increments on the long edges and masked the edges with painters tape to apply Scotch repositionable glue stick (Amazon). I left on the painters tape to give me an edge to line things up square on the mat. I just stick a sheet of wax paper on top to store it. So far it works great for knifepoint. I saw some colored mats that were similar at Walmart. It is 15"x 12", so it would be hard to cut to the edges of a 12x12 sheet but it is great for everything else.
