For this week's free-for-all challenge: National colors/flag.
My dad was career Navy, Pearl Harbor survivor. The green binder is his service record, and the blue trifold, which he carried with him always, contains pictures of the two of them and of Mom, and my sister as a toddler (behind the card). I'll place the flower pick at their gravesite tomorrow.
This retired su! stamp set tells a story. All four branches are represented: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines. It's got the flag, the salute, the prayers. I couldn't bring myself to color it at this time. What color skin should the soldier have? Which element is the focus? I have to just let it be what it is.
Honor. Courage.

I love a card with a great story. Thanks to all the men and women who serve our country. It's very pretty without the coloring. The message is there and that's what counts.

The tears in my eyes are making it difficult to see. This is such an amazing tribute to your Dad and all our service men and women. I would not color this - it's much more dramatic as it is. Our local Pizza place has a very large sign that says: HOME OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE.
