A great idea for a challenge...There have been many times I have thought of doing this so glad now got the extra push. Being across the way I had to omit the blue...( sorry guys )...;0)...I DO love the red, white and blue.
I have a co-worker that has a Uncle that served with the paratroopers. so I found the image on the lovely google, I forget exactly where now have been looking a while, then sponged it and used it kind of like our maple leaf in the center that way and added the side strips. I did start the Ty with a touch of red, but wanted it to pop out more so put it with a black raised banner ?...now it DOES really pop out...literally...lol....I just did that with a strip of paper and score pal...love that gizmo...:0), folded and cut the end parts off.
Thanks for the good challenge and For all who has served for all.

This is absolutely gorgeous! What a wonderful tribute. My great nephew did two tours in Afghanistan and I know how important any recognition of their service is to the soldiers. Very touching and a wonderful creation.

I love this and appreciate how difficult a task it is to find images for Canadian troops, strange because we have participated in all the wars except Vietnam but we don't seem to be so outwardly patriotic do we? Great job.

It's cool for me to see the Canadian flag in the gallery, since my mother lived in Canada for quite a good few years before she ended up here - and unless he's taken out Irish citizenship since I last saw him, my half-brother still has his Canadian passport. You found a great image and your sponging on it looks just amazing.
