This is for CC479 - a cantaloupe, a pale green and a darker green and also for TLC482 - inking an embossing folder and using it to create a background. I have not done a color challenge for SO long, but I often look on Tuesday mornings just to see what's on and this week not only were the colors so enticing, I was surprised to realize that I already had a BG I'd made yesterday when I was playing around with the Try a New Technique Challenge lying on my table. The BG kind of got very covered up here, but believe me, it's under there - I inked an SU EF with two dye inks and used it to print on watercolor paper. My first TLC challenge and the first time I've ever combined challenges. I guess I should give myself a gold star. Or a new pair of shoes. (I pick the shoes).
I think I did as well as I ever do with sticking to the colors. Yes, I added that aqua mulberry paper, but really, anyone who knows me knows I that add that color in some form to every color challenge. I was going to use green vellum for those bees and be all "Yes! Complete compliance!", but the aqua just looked so much better.
Great colors, fun technique challenge and thanks for looking!

Great combining, Robin! Welcome to the TLC.
I really like what we can see of the background, love the stitched dies, and the sprinkling of gems is a beautiful finishing touch.
Go choose the shoes ;-).

Love the combination of elements you put together for your card! Le Jardin indeed! I really like those tag/plaques behind your terrific flower and who would not like aqua bees? :-) Lovely card!

Congrats on combining challenges! A new pair of shoes??? That's quite the reward ;) I love the pair of rectangles backing up your flower..great idea and the aqua bees..why the heck not?! Your TLC bg is perfect for this...it just adds to the beauty of all the other elements. Well done Robin...you really need to play the color challenge more often.

Wonderful card, Robin and I so enjoy reading your descriptions. I too rarely can combine challenges and yep, I think we all have bent the rules at some time! Thanks for the chuckle. I love how creative this is in your own style. What a great design Robin! It's so unique.

I don't know what it says under that pretty flower, but it certainly looks gorgeous! I see the bg peeking out here and there, and it appears you have done a wonderful job with this technique.....so for your first TLC-I give you a big Hug and Pat on the back for the double challenges!!! WooHoo & Bravo~
