Jenn's challenge to use Audrie's EF stamping technique dovetailed with Jen's CAS challenge of water theme...and seemed apt for a card of encouragement that I needed to make. First made the pattern for the umbrella and let dry. PC generated the sentiment on watercolor paper, then stamped the Flourishes boots in Stazon. Watercoloring is not my forte, but I thought it thematically best. Used TH stains and washes to color the image and highlight the sentiment. Cut and added the umbrella and some raindrops, mounted on a Nightshift card and done. PT - 2
Thanks Jenn, Jen and Audrie for the inspiration. Thank you all for looking and have a peaceful day.

Marie, this is beautiful - from the technique used on the umbrella to the composition of the raindrops at the top and the boots in the corner, it all adds up to fabulous! And the sentiment is encouraging in a subtle, lovely way! A wonderful creation!

Wow! There is so much great stuff going on here! I love the pattern you used for your umbrella and the way you broke the handle with a water coloured patch for your sentiment. The colouring on the boots is lovely. Just a perfect card!

Marie, what a clean and refreshing card......love all the blues. Neat effect with the water coloring under the sentiment. How are your flowers doing? We are finally getting some warmer temps.....waiting for some budding.
