This card is for TLC481, "That's Not My Style." This is a super challenge for today; thanks, Judy!
I think I've made maybe one other one-layer card in all my cardmaking experience. I'm always worried that I'm gonna mess something up, with no layers that I can put on top of it to cover up an oops!
I also jumped on this challenge to try out my new air compressor with my Copic markers. After masking off the top and bottom of the card, I used each of the three listed markers. The lightest color in the center, the middle color on the edges, and the darkest color, with the brush tip in the gun (instead of the chisel tip), to give a bit of a spattered appearance. You can hardly see the spatter, and also can't see the little, tiny dots of glitter pen randomly placed throughout the blue band, but they're there.
Sadly, I need this card to send to the husband of a needlework friend who passed away suddenly at the young age of 66.

This really is beautiful! Love the masked area! I have the same fears of single layer cards!

That's exactly what I was thinking for my card today, especially when it came to putting on the sentiment, which was last! So happy to be done! Love your masking with the blue and black silhouette image against it! A perfect sympathy card for a man~ But so sorry for your loss......

OOoh a compressor,
oh no,
nope don't need one... really have to make these watercolor pencils work first ( mutters to self and shakes head)
but, that surely looks fabulous in the color block texture wise.
