I loved Barbie's sponged bg and I used a fleur de lis negative frame to mask and sponge using frayed burlap and stormy sky distress inks. I also stamped leaves lightly onto the sponged area. When I removed the negative frame I noticed a small mark on the right side of the card - darn! Hence the reason for the embossing - it hid the mark but also the stamping on the sponged area!!
My punched vase is a RAK from Mary (jandjccc), I added the dots and stripes with a white gel pen. Die cut the leaf foliage, placed the prima flower and added the rhinestones and sentiment. Backed this onto c/s sponged with the distress inks and popped up, using dimensionals, onto the card base.
Congratulations, Barbie, and have a wonderful week in the spotlight!! TFL!

I love how you worked through the smudge issue with embossing, the result is a fab bg! A beautiful flower and flourish with lovely sparkle in the corner thanks to the pretty blue gems!

Sue, a beautiful card with all kinds of creative techniques from your using the die as a stencil to the glue stripes on the vase. Lovely colors and the 3-d arrangement in the vase is lovely.

That bg is so cool and I love the vase with the wonderful dimensional flower. And everyone's been there with covering up "mistakes"...I figure it happens and we just call it artistic license...lol. Lovely card Sue

Oh my goodness, Sue, this is beautiful. I definitely see your stamping on your sponged panel. And I love the embossing. It adds so much interest and texture. And your die cut flower and leaves are beautiful. I guess I need to add that to my wish list too (do we ever have enough toys - lol). Thank you so much for honoring me with your beautiful card. You made my day !
