This is a birthday card for my friend Chris! Chris is one of the first friends I made when I moved to this area.
This was also made (late I know....) for the WT473 challenge to use something new but purchased a LONG time ago!
I LOVED this paper (downloaded from Pinterst) so much and I had such a hard time coming up with something to not cover up its beauty!
My unused item is the butterfly and is one of four butterflies from Crafty Ann. They come on the same die. I have the LARGE individual version of this butterfly and have made a card with it, but I have not used any of the small ones that come on this die. I have owned it since last year. This butterfly has three layers and the middle layer is the wax paper, too pretty to throw away but you can not see it in this photograph. The other die is a Joy Craft die that I just love and have only managed to use one other time. I created the very small paper bow using the free SVG bow file and cutting it on my Cricut. It is cut from the same beautiful down loaded paper. I did NOTHING else to this paper other than add the sentiment, which is a clear stamp with no name in my collection of clear stamp birthday sentiments that I took off thier original packaging and placed in storage. Now I see that I should have created some kind of system to identify the maker. At the time I was all about getting all of one kind of clear stamp sentiment together for easy finding....:-( so I have tons of sentiments with no information about them.
I added the pink half pearls to butterfly body and bow and diecut.
Sort of CAS for me!
Thanks for looking....

Peggy, this is gorgeous! I have to agree with you about the paper. I love that you let the paper remain the focal point by using the smaller, ornate dies. That is one of the prettiest butterfly dies I have ever seen. Love the tiny paper bow. Beautifully crafted, Peggy!
I have done the same thing with some clear stamps. I think we all did!

Jennifer, I think yours was defective. My larger one (like yours cuts perfectly every time and this smaller version does as well. I do think every now and then defective dies get sent out unbeknownst to the company. I would be happy to either lend you mine or send you some die cuts made with it in whatever color you would like. Let me know!
