Have you ever made copper hinges by cutting them out of a soft copper sheet, texturizing, inking and then burning with a butane lighter?
I just had to try it. Plus, I love the look of a colored paper with a white core, so I made my own by inking whisper white with Black Craft, stamping with By Definition with White Craft, sanding, esp. the edges, and sponging with White Craft. I embossed everything else with Black Embossing Powder on either Black or Rust card stock. I really like the way the stuff on the card turned out, but I'm not crazy about my layout. I'm just not very good at the composition part of making cards.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your layout! I like it. Great job on all the unique ideas you had in making this card! It truely is a masterpiece!
