For this week's embossing CAS and inlaid die cut technique challenges.
I get to credit Susan (One4Joy) for the metallic feel of these cards. We shared some tea time yesterday, and she happened to show me a HUGE TJ's chocolate bar, which she purchased specifically for using the liner in an art project. What she didn't know: I'd also gone to Trader Joe's, and had purchased their pb and j milk chocolate bar as an impulse buy... Can you see the rest of the wrapper in front?
Anyway, I xyroned the liner to some scrap paper, cut the flower, and with the die cut still in place, embossed it. I swapped the metallic frame/die cut with a neenah natural, adhered them to yet some more xyroned scrap, and got two panels. I also embossed the card bases over burlap, but it's difficult to see in the photo.
Thanks, Susan, for a delightful afternoon and for a creative nudge or two. Yum!
