This card was is for three of this week's challenges: The Color Challenge, Sketch Challenge and Ways to Use It. For the Ways to Use It (Spring Means New Beginnings), we were to use something brand new that we've had for over a month. I used the Ranger Specialty Paper and the Enamel Dots that I bought when Archivers closed. So happy to have finally used these very cool products! TFL!

Oh, the sadness... I so miss my Archivers! This is a FUN layout for a birthday card, so perfect for a guy card - need to remember this! Thanks for shopping in your own stamp room with me this week!

I used a Sizzix Simple Impressions Embossing Folder for the Happy Birthday, then used Faded Jeans Distress Ink with the stencil part to make the words stand out more. It wasn't dark enough, so I then used Memento's Paris Dusk and a paintbrush with the stencil. I have not had good luck getting the embossing to be raised enough so I never use it without adding color now. TFL!
