This week I happened to see Dina's gorgeous video using a stencil and water color which led to my viewing Darlene DeVries, stencil video with the result that I couldn't wait to try a new to me technique!
Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge this week is to use a negative die cut so I used the beautiful Falling Stars die cut a dear friend gave me as my stencil. I stamped a watermark pad all over the die cut to get the image of the stars on the paper then heat embossed in white. Once the paper cooled I colored the entire paper with TH distress markers and spritzed with water.
I stamped the fern from MFP's Marsh Silhouettes as the tree and added a sentiment. Even though the bg is filled with stars and not snow, I think I am going to add this to January's CCC14 challenge, "Peace". I am SO BEHIND this year with my CCC goals!

What a beautiful background - thanks for explaining how you did it. And thanks for playing along with the "peace" theme I posted for the January CCC14. Keep working on your Christmas cards - it's only March, you can catch up!
