Yay, playing in the Mix-ability Challenge! This week's challenge was to incorporate printed text, mine is from an old book. I used the Opal Acrylic Paint, watered down, and coated printed text. I then applied a coat of the Pale Plum and dabbed with a wet cloth to remove some of the Plum colour. I sponged Smoky Slate onto embossed c/s and placed the 3 coloured hemp twine dividing the 2 panels. Lightly sponged the vase on the digi image with distress ink. The image is from freevintagedigistamps.blogspot.com. Added the sentiment, pearls and metal flower (pearls and metal flower not nearly so dark IRL!!).
My card is also to celebrate this week's Queen, Lori (LMcAree) who's gallery I was not familiar with at all. So many gorgeous cards to choose from, this is the one I finally decided on -

Fabulous vintage card!! That vase is so cool (I love the images from that digi blog) and the pink color you put on it is perfect..it look like it should be in a museum. I also love the border and the greeting applied on the side..wonderful detail!

Wow... so many interesting elements to this card and they all work so well together. I love the plum color and the paper you used for the side panel. So very lovely.
