This card is for several challenges. The WT challenge- Go Rainbow, the F4A212- Staple it together and the MIX59 Bag It challenge.
First I made the background by using a plastic bag, adding three colors of Tim Holtz distress inks directly from pad to bag, then spritzed with alcohol and laid my white cardstock into the puddles. After drying, I used white Gesso for the clouds (top half of panel).
I added the crinkly colored seam bindings to reference a large rainbow and used staples on each end. I thought I would keep with the rainbow colors for the Lawn Fawn hot air balloon.
It was so nice to be able to stay home yesterday and make this card. Thank you to the challenge hostesses!!! And thank you for stopping by!

Fantastic card. What a creative way to use the ribbon...it seems to float across the page. Your sky turned out awsome. I am saving it in my pinterest board for future reference.

What a brilliant take on two challenges! My gosh I LOVE the seam binding rainbow and just adore hot air balloons! Fabulous job on your background including the gesso clouds!

Oh, how I love everything about this card! Definitely a great use of the MIX59 challenge and then to add textured clouds to it was a nice addition. Love the ribbon rainbow!
