This is primarily for Janelle's Bag it! Mix-Ability challenge, monoprinting with a plastic bag.
It's also for today's F4A to use staples, and since I used a remnant of embossed vellum from a recent TLC, it hits TLC471 as well.
I had a disaster with this and was starting to wish I'd chosen inks and not paint. Green and blue paint - fine. Yellow paint - there was a bit dried in the cap and it wasn't coming out so I squeezed it without directing it at my card - and had to do a major cleanup. Luckily it mostly was easy to clean - some went into my basket of sponges so they got a good wash, and only a few splashes ended up on the carpet.
After all that, I stamped a PB stamp on it and coloured the flowers with Sharpies. I embossed the whole thing but just added white ink and EP to the borders of the stamped image, and finished it with some Mizuhiki cord.
Next dilemma was how to mount it - in the end I just embossed some Core-dinations with the same folder I'd used for the main panel and sanded it. HA sentiment stamped on a piece of dry-embossed vellum, and then I added a butterfly and some half-pearls.

Ya gotta just love those little accidents - NOT!! I think they're bound to happen once in a while. I think your card is really cool using all three challenges. I like how your sentiment with the vellum is distressed looking. Cool how you have the three distinct patterns.

Very pretty combo of techniques, textures and colors. I am always in fear of one of those accidents because the room I work in has pale gray carpet. I sometimes take messy projects to the kitchen, where it's easiest to clean any disasters.

Those staples make a perfect way to attach that vellum. Great card.

It's gorgeous, Sabrina. Sorry you had the big splat!!!!! Those paints tend to come out quickly and in large amounts...more than I want, anyway.

What a great mixture of techniques and styles here! The modern painterly BG with the formal shape of the overlay design and the sweet flowers on the center panel - the lovely sentiment on the rough-cut vellum, attached with staples (a brilliant touch!). It all came together to make a beautiful card!

Fantastic card. I really like the torn and embossed vellum...I always forget to use this for sentiments. It looks so great on your card. All the layers are beautiful and everything coordinates so well. The darker blue bkg paper is the right frame for your pretty artwork.
