This was really for the MIX58, but since it did have yellow and blue I snuck it in for the F4A 211, and since the third color was green I added the WT469. I haven't used watercolor paint since my teenage sons were little and I tried to interest them in art...which was a "major fail". I actually found this old tin oblong box with 8 round disks of watercolor hidden under a box of broken crayons in a junk drawer. I think it used to sell for 99 cents. Needless to say, my color choices were limited. I printed this silhouette digi stamp from the computer onto watercolor paper. Wasn't sure if the ink would bleed when wet, but it held up beautifully. Wet the paper and added the paint first with a brush. Tilted the paper to let the paint spread. Added more paint with my finger. Once it dried I stamped the 2 silhouette birds slightly off the paper and added a few gel pen highlights. Had to make up the sentiment and print it onto white cardstock to cover one of my usual blotches that occured as I was finishing the card. Watercolor is so much fun...I can hardly wait to play with it sone more.

Holy Moly!! WHAT a work of art this is! From the radiance of the flowers to the blend of colors this is incredibly gorgeous! Love the birds stamped out of the box! I had to go back up and look 5 times since this is SO vibrant and such a feast for the eyes!

I still have to play catch-up with this MIX challenge - love watercolours. I'm glad you found some to play along with. And, for a limited palette, what a beauty you created. It reminds me of lakeside holidays.

Your water color BG is flawless and beautiful. I love that you stamped the birds partially off the focal image area. I've just recently started using water colors and they are so much fun.
