I was nearly going to sit this one out, as in the past any time I've used blowing techniques I have not been happy with the result. Sometimes, in the case of a couple of Mix-ABility challenges, I haven't even uploaded them - and that's saying something because usually I share the good, the bad and the ugly.
BUT - Inpsiration challenge to the rescue again - thanks, Audrie.
This Yellow Umbrella looked perfect for using for Sharon's challenge.
So... I watched the video Sharon linked. I tried glossy card with re-inkers. I tried glossy card with alcohol inks. I tried glossy card with blending alcohol and re-inkers. I have a lot of rejects on my table!
In the end I used watercolour paper which I misted heavily with water, and then added drops of re-inker and blew.
Mustard Seed, Shabby Shutters and Wild Honey for the bottom.
Then I covered all that and the shadow of the umbrella area with masking fluid, and used Faded Jeans and Pumice Stone the same way at the top. Added some purple in with Gorgeous Grunge, and a Verve sentiment from Words of Wisdom.
I'm really working my MFT umbrella die hard for this challenge - out it came again .
I'll probably rework the final layering of the image panel before I use it, but I was hitting the one-hour time limit for VSN, so I simply distressed the edges, added some clear Dew Drops and stuck it to a European business size (DL) card base sponged with soft brown.

Oh this is lovely and I love your sentiment! You really got that blurred raining color on the pavement look with your colors under the umbrella. I love it!!
