This is my card for the LOVEFEST2014K challenge "Lots of Lovely Layers" - to create a card with layers.
I stamped the image twice, colored the flower on one of the flowers with markers and added dots of black stickles to the center. The other image was die cut with SB Standard Circles and layered onto a black circle cut with the SB Beaded Circles die, although just the tops of the beaded circles show. I fussy cut the colored flower and attached it to the intact image with mounting tape.
I embossed the white layer with a Sizzix ef (don't know the name but it reminds me of the Wedding Ring quilting pattern) and cut it to size. It was lightly sponged with Spun Sugar Distress Ink to bring out the embossing. I adhered it to a piece of black chalk cs and used the Perfect Paper Layers to cut the layer evenly. This was adhered to a piece of pink textured paper I saved from an old envelope and cut to size using the Paper Layers tools. This was attached to a black card base, and all the layers edged with black Dazzles Border Lines stickers. Hard to see the subtle effect in the photo, but it looks really nice IRL. I mounted the focal on a die cut circle of black craft foam and attached it to the card using Crafter's Companion adhesive.
As always, thanks for looking!

I'll have to look into the paper layers tool - your matting is perfection! Your card is so dramatic - I love the pink/black combo! This is an amazing design, the embossing is beautifully balanced with your wonderful repurposed envelope and flower. Incredibly stunning!
